It’s very easy to get a printer working using a USB or Cables (wires).
By Using Cables you just need to plug one end of the wire into the printer and another end to the computer. But Bringing a printer online means that documents can be printed without a direct computer connection, by connecting it to the WI-FI Network or Ethernet.
When You are talking about the offline shifting of the printer to online, the First thing should come in your mind is:-
Yes, While shifting an offline printer to an online printer you need to first install a printer driver on your computer, that’s called "PRINTER INSTALLATION".
If not, you may face the problem that your printer still works as an offline printer, even after connecting your printer to WiFi or the Ethernet.
Steps to Install Printer driver to your computer
1. Click on START and open the control panel
2. In Control Panel, double click on Devices and printer option
3. In Devices and Printer option, Click on “Add a Printer”
4. Now you have a choice between a Local Network Printer and a wireless printer. Select Local Network Printer and then click Next.
5. Now you have two ports, Select an existing port or create a new port and then click Next
6. Click Have Disk, to install the driver from a configured CD
7. Now, Enter the printer driver location, browse to the directory of your drivers
Now the question arises how do I find a printer driver.
You can usually find the drivers on the manufacturer's website if you don't have the disc. Printer drivers are often found on the website of your manufacturer under "downloads" or "drivers." Download driver to run the driver file
Now Second Step is to shift an offline printer to online, for this, you have two types of connectivity:-
1. Through WIFI Network
Step 1.
For the WIFI network connective first, you should connect
the printer to the same wifi network as your computer has.
Step2. Use a simple printer menu to access the WI-FI networks that are available.
Ensure that you connect to the correct network.
Step 3. Now, Return to your computer and check whether the printer is connected to
the network or not.
Start to Print your document
Step1.Connect the end of an Ethernet cable on the back of the printer towards
the Ethernet port and connect the second cable end to the router port.
Step 2.
Switch on the printer

Install the software using the configured CD
Step 4.
Now, enter the IP address of your computer showing in the IP address configuration
Step 5.
Now, search for your printer in the available network devices
Step 6.
The last step is to reboot your computer to complete the installation
The same procedure can be followed to attach different brands of printers such as
HP Printers, Brother printers, Epson printers, etc, to the internet to make them
work online.
